Daimler's 'vocational' truck for the North American market is pretty rad

2w ago

I got an email from DTNA (Daimler Trucks North America) about their latest Western Star 49X heavy-duty truck and I thought it was pretty cool. Then I read the note and they say this fills a gap in the so-called 'vocational' segment. I didn't know that was a thing but hey, the truck's cool, so I thought I might share a picture. What do you say?

  • WrsternStars are very popular in the log trucking business these days. They hold up very well to the abuse.

  • I miss read the title, thought it said ‘bad’ instead of ‘rad’ and was thoroughly confused when it seemed like a perfectly good truck and all the comments were positive. It took longer than I would care to admit for me to figure out my mistake😂.

  • Sure, they look all cute in the photographs, but just wait till you're in a '71 VW Bug and you meet one of these coming the other way at 70mph on a two-lane road outside of Seattle. I think a little poo came out.
