Its almost here, the DAKAR. The race that takes over the first weeks of the year... it keeps us checking the leaderboards and glued to our screens in the hopes our favourite teams make it through the gruelling stages.
From the 2nd of January 2017 to the 14th of January 2017, Cross Country, Rally, Off Road and Motorsport fans will tune in to Eurosport, NBC Sports and their smartphones to follow the toughest race in the calendar.
For those without access to these channels or the Dakar App, we'll be posting updates here as we see them; so apologies to anybody not interested in Dakar news!
The 2017 Dakar Technical Scrutineering will take place in Le Havre on the 24th and 25th of November for all vehicles from Europe that will be embarking on the boat to South America. The boat will take 21 days to reach the continent... and we really hope that boat doesn't sink!
So what's your clearest memory of the Dakar? Why do you watch it? Who are you rooting for this year? Do you follow the big teams or wait anxiously for news of the brave ones that go it alone?
