Dániel Nagy returns to Zengő Motorsport in TCR Europe
The Hungarian driver will take part in the TCR Europe season opener at the Slovakiaring this weekend with Zengő Motorsport.
Dániel Nagy will drive one of Zengő Motorsport's Cupra Leon Competicións in the TCR Europe season opener which will be held this weekend at the Slovakiaring, it was announced on Monday.
"The car is completely new to me so it won't be an easy story... I believe that I have enough experience to find the pace early enough to fight for top positions though," Nagy wrote on his Facebook page commenting on the opportunity.
The 23-year-old Hungarian driver has been part of TCR Europe's grid since 2018. He has taken one victory in his first year, at Assen. Later, also with M1RA's Hyundai i30 N TCR, he took his career-best championship result, finishing in 5th position.
In 2020, he finished in 8th in the standings with BRC Racing Team as he scored his best result in Zolder, taking 3rd place in the second race.

Nagy was also entered by Zengő Motorsport in World Touring Car Championship back in 2016 and 2017, although he scored only one point. However, this reunion is only for the opening round, Nagy and Zengő Motorsport don't rule out taking part in further rounds, later in the year.
Last week, Zengő Motorsport announced his third WTCR driver for 2021 as another Hungarian youngster, Bence Boldizs will join Mikel Azcona and former WTCC race winner Jordi Gené for a second season of his World Touring Car Cup campaign. The Hungarian team will confirm his fourth and final driver later this week.
