David Beckhams unique one-off customised Porsche 911 Turbo convertible is back on the market. The 911 was first auctioned off by Beckham in 2011. At the time, the iconic sportscar cost the former England captain $100,000. He then spent an additional $50,000 on customising the Porsche to his style. The result is a very bespoke 911.

In 2011 the car was purchased by the Lebanese actor Adam Sabbagh, seven years on the 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo convertible has resurfaced on eBay with a starting bid of $179,000 . Still in great condition and with less then 12,000 miles on the clock. Of course due to its celebrity history the Porsche has been priced accordingly, that is higher then its market value.

  • Honestly I see no point in overpricing a celebrity`s car, I could say Stephen hawking itself has driven my s40 and make the 8k € I would get for it to convert to 80k €

The only reason I would truly overprice a car for if it was a limited edition that didn`t go past 99 units.

    • I agree. Limited edition or even first model runs are what i would look for. Unfortunately auctions use the celebrity bait all the time ... and some people fall for it!

  • Haha this reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George supposedly bought actor jon voights Chrysler Lebaron and brags about it to everyone......really who cares who owned it before you, as long as its well taken care of.
