David Coulthard is back on track to see how Cooper Tires test their rubber
As you might have seen if you’ve been reading my recent posts here on DriveTribe, together with Cooper Tires we’ve been looking at just how important the right rubber is for your car, whether it’s for off-roading, driving in wet conditions, or simply a case of making sure you are running the correct pressures.
But how do Cooper Tires themselves ensure they are making the best possible product before bolting them on to your car?
Well for one thing, their engineers and development team have their very own state of the art test facility out in Texas, where they work to perfect every single tyre compound they make before sending them out into the world.
I flew out to the US to check it out and see for myself the track that they use to hone the very same rubber I use on my own car.
And while I was there I couldn’t resist having a go myself, so I borrowed something a bit special to try out the track…
