Dead cars I want back
Anyone know how to talk to dead cars?
Death happens kids. But the great thing about cars as that that they can be killed as many times as we like and still come back if we fancy. So with this in my mind, let's take a look back at some dead cars I would like to see back on the road. Please give your suggestions too, I tend to forget a lot of the best ones!
Like a more sensible Kia Soul, I want both.
I love boxey cars. I don't why. Actually I do because it means that if it's boxey than it can't be an egg. Take the Soul, Kia's latest version. Fantastic design. The Yeti has been proven many times to be a really good car, for all sorts of things. It's recognisable, for start. Not following the Germans in making every one of the cars look exactly the same (See: Audi, BMW). Famous for being the best all-rounder without being hated for being an SUV (mostly due to the fact that wasn't actually an SUV). I just think, it's respectable. It's a car that could be a companion, that you could love, and care for. Ok now I'm gonna slap myself and stop being so passionate about it. Basically I want it back. A 2020 model would seriously look the part, and who knows, might teach Skoda about being a bit of fun?
The Infamous Kia Cerato GS:
I know you guys voted in that poll for me to let her rest, but if I'm honest (and believe me I am) I don't care. Betsy must live on. Ours was crushed. In fact I might write about that. Yes good idea me. Anyway I think Kias are alright, and because I fell so badly for the Cerato, my interest is peaked to see what the second decade of the 21st century might bring for our little Betsy (yes ours, I know how much you guys love her too😁). I mean come on, when you like this cute there is simply no room for discontinuation.
I see the potential for one cool car here. Ferdi???
It appears that MPVs may have been just about saved from extinction recently. I feel as though we have America to thank for that, because for some reason they need such extraordinarily massive cars all over the place. The likes of Kia, VW and Toyota give them all sorts of MPVs that many Europeans would probably never even hear of. Now obviously our idea of an MPV is different, and better for it I believe (well I would), but I spent most of my life so far in Zafiras, and a car has never served us so well.......admittedly not even Betsy. So I feel a new Zafira could really give Opel a hand, and maybe even give them the chance to make a nice car!
Retain the old love, blend the new cool. It would be one hell of a challenge, but if done well......we really would be lucky.
So yeah apparently MG exist again. At first, I didn't care. BUT NOW, I still don't care. They've given us a nice looking SUV with a decent interior mind you, and I admit after experiencing its presence in person, I have fallen for it a bit. So I am happy to see some sort of return I suppose. But I think we will all agree that that electric SUVs are not what we meant by wanting them back. Which brings me to this, the MGB. A wonderful little British roadster. Now if MG is going electric, I give them full-send permission. They have my blessing. Electric cars are no enemy of mine anymore. And if it's on a cool little roadtser with MASSIVE retro modern potential, I'm 100% sold. And even if that's not your ideal vision, it's gotta be better than their dreadful new hatch.
And with that, I'm gonna stop talking. Yes four choices is a weird place to quit, but forgive me for having other duties to attend to. Hope you enjoyed reading my for once perhaps not completely pointless article. Now tell me yours, that's I want to know. Toddle ooh.
