Debate: What is the most underrated car of all time?
Let the great debate begin
The word underrate means "to underestimate the extent, value, or importance of (someone or something). Today, we are going to talk about underrated cars. The cars which deserved a lot of praise and success but sadly couldn't get what they deserved. There have been many underrated cars, but 'what is the most underrated car of all time?'. Tell us in the comments below.
Can't decide? Worry not, let the lovely Drivetribe community help you by telling their choices.
Tejas Kokcha - Spyker C8
Ahh... the beautiful Spyker C8. Sleek, luxurious, and quick: the C8 is one of the finest car to roll out of Netherlands. The V8 engine and the six-speed semi-auto gearbox are borrowed straight from the Audi S4. Capable of producing 400hp, the Audi V8 can propel the C8 to 60mph in 4.5 seconds. This lovely supercar couldn't get any sweeter. But sadly, it didn't get the praise it deserved.
Daniel Berman - Bugatti Veyron
"Everyone knows that the Bugatti Veyron has 1,200 horsepower, 10 radiators, a 267 mph top speed, and a $2.2 million price tag, the Bugatti Veyron was, and is a feast for the numbers. Yet most car enthusiasts never latched onto the car; they said, "Oh, it's too heavy," "It's ugly," "It's overrated," "It's too expensive!"
As a result, the Veyron was always categorized as overrated crap by those who had never driven it, but talk to anybody who has driven one of these things, and the story quickly begins to change. You begin to get a sense for just how much engineering had gone into this car to make it capable of such speeds. There are many things that can go over 260 mph, but how many can do it in such comfort and ease?"
"There's nothing to say that the Veyron wasn't a pointless flex; going to the moon was a pointless flex, but I still respect the hell out of NASA for doing it."
Ethan Mearns - Mazda RX-8

"The RX-8 was a worthy successor to the rotary-powered RX-7, yet it is often overshadowed by its older brother. If you can get around the fact that the first-gen’s Renesis engine can be demanding to look after, then this exciting, rev-happy Mazda will reward you with a fantastic driving experience. As long as you keep it in good condition, the RX-8 is one of the best value sports cars of its class."
Kyle Meyr - the Element
"Imagine! A four-wheel drive, five speed manual conveniently sized SUV with suicide doors and rear seats that fold up into the walls like a Defender. In many ways, the Element is the poor-man’s Defender, but with more convenience… All of the seats fold down to make one large bed, the interior can be cleaned with a garden hose and it comes with an optional fold out tent. Lift this sum-bitch to the moon, put some BF Goodrich ATs on ‘er and you’ve got a $23k adventure car that fits as well in nature as it does in the city. You’re welcome."
