It is common in the US Midwest that Construction Tradesmen (Carpenters, Woodworkers, Fabricators) have called them "The Hammer Store" for many years.
There are rumors that the people of the UK might start switching to from knives to hammers for assaults due to the increasing awareness surrounding public knife use.
