Diesel ducati?

It's okay, I've read the blurb now and it turns out the the new Ducati Diavel Diesel is not a diesel. Well, it doesn't run on oil anyway. This sparkling festival of alliteration is a tie-in between the Italian bike maker and the Italian jean-trouser builder. Beyond that, well.... it's got a seat made of 'real leather' ... just imagine what a luxurious treat that is for your stylish buns...

That leather...it's real. Oh yes folks, real leather. On a seat. Never thought I'd see the day.

Further features highlighted on the Ducati Diavel Diesel include it being 'characterized by a hand-brushed stainless steel superstructure' and we're told that it 'has got visible welding and rivets'; these details are, apparently, not the result of shoddy workmanship but 'make it absolutely unmistakable and timeless'. Righto. There'll only be 666 of them built and it'll cost, oh, I dunno, some money.

I don't know if Diesel plan on making a pair of Ducati jeans available - maybe they already have - but don't wear them in the rain if they have or rely on them necessarily to work. But they'll look damned good on the models wearing them in the adverts, if not on you or me on a rainy day in Nottingham town centre.
