DiRT 5 Has A Course Creator So You Can Go Wild Your Way
With three modes and near-endless configs, it may be the best mode in Codemasters' arcade rally game
We know that DiRT 5 will lean more towards the arcade fan, but this new mode cements it: a full course creator suite that lets you conjure up wacky stunts, big jumps, and Hoonigan-approved shows of creativity.
Players get three arenas of varying sizes and three modes to play with: standard combo-trick Gymkhana, checkpoint-oriented Gate Crasher, and Smash Attack, were you, uh, can smash stuff along a route (which can be open-ended or single-line). With near-endless configurations and varieties of objects, the only real limit is the car selection, as it guarantees parity in the leaderboards. Yes, it has a leaderboard, because much like Mario Maker, other players can run and rate the courses you've made.
And judging by the demos we're seeing in the early-access clips from content creators, it's been quite enjoyable, with tracks already in playlists.
Oh, and stick around in the trailer clip because there seems to be a still-unrevealed chase mode (?) called "Vampire", apparently.
