With its futuristic design and impressive performance, the Porsche Taycan is a remarkable car, especially considering that it is the brand's first electric car. Unfortunately, everything can't be perfect, and the U.S. EPA's result reveals a particularly low range.
The Taycan Turbo has a measured range of only 201 miles. This result is all the more disappointing when you consider that the Mission E concept had a range of over 300 miles. This even puts all Taycans below any Tesla in terms of range. The EPA has now measured the high-performance Taycan Turbo S version.
By being more powerful, the Turbo S did even worse than the Turbo. It achieved a range of 192 miles, which is not a very good result considering the price of the car. The Taycan 4S hasn't been measured yet but it should surely get the best range of the Taycan lineup since it's the least powerful.
Nevertheless, the Taycan remains an excellent electric car if you put the range aside. Indeed, it offers insane accelerations that can be repeated several times without damaging the battery. The interior quality is also fantastic. With the 79.2 kWh battery, the Taycan 4S already develops 523 hp. With 93.4 kWh, the power increases to 563 hp. The Turbo has 670 hp and the Turbo S has 750 hp.
