Distracted driver of a Renault Twingo gets hit by a Ferrari 488 Pista
The Italian supercar literally took off
Even if you are a good driver, you should always be careful because other road users may not be as attentive as you are. The driver of a Ferrari 488 Pista learned this the hard way in an accident that was beyond his control. The event took place in Italy on a beautiful summer's day.
A group of Ferraris drove through the town of Cortona in the centre of the country for the 1000 Miglia held on June 20. The video accompanying the article shows a grey Portofino quickly followed by a red 488 Pista. The latter arrives relatively quickly at the exit of the bend.
It is then that a grey Renault Twingo comes out of a car park without seeing the Italian supercar hidden in the shadow of the grove overhanging the road. The city car continued to move forward while the 488 Pista tried to avoid the collision, in vain. The Ferrari hit the French car's right front wing and went off by half a metre.
The elderly driver of the Twingo seems to be at fault here, as he did not give way to the Ferrari. The problem is that we don't know how fast the sports car was going on this small road. The speed of the Ferrari seemed to be a little excessive in the circumstances...
