Do we have here the headlight of the new Ford Bronco?

It's very likely!

The next generation Ford Bronco is taking a long time to arrive. This highly anticipated model was confirmed at Detroit's North American International Auto Show in January 2017. For almost three years now, very little official information has leaked out. However, fans can take solace in the fact that a very interesting new element has come to light.

The image of what is claimed to be the new Bronco's headlight has not gone unnoticed. And the shape of the headlight could give us a fairly accurate idea of the aesthetic approach Ford has taken with its new Bronco. This photo is from DanG from the Bronco6G forum. The person admits receiving this photo from a friend working on the development of the Bronco U725. U725 is nothing more than the code name for the sixth generation Bronco.

The headlamp in the photo stands out with its perfectly circular shape, reminiscent of the headlamp used on the first Ford Bronco in 1966. There's the turn signal light at the vertical end. The horizontal area shifted to the right seems to form the daytime running lights. However, it is not known if the circular shape will also act as daytime running lights.

The future Ford Bronco is likely to have a neo-retro design as suggested by a teaser of March 2018. The vehicle is entirely covered by a tarp, which reveals the very square shapes characteristic of the original model. The SUV should be revealed this spring or summer.

  • I hope they don't make it electric

  • I’d much rather see a shift knob that clearly is for a manual transmission, way more important than lights, besides people will probably put stupid grills on them like wranglers.

  • ugh that line in a circle design is terrible. It's on a few motorcycles, and it just ruins them.

  • Yeah, looks like the one on the Bronco R in Baja.
