  • A lot of the diecast cars used on model railways get customised in a fashion to make them look realistic to how the real life cars looked. Most of the time they are given a matt finish and especially on a 1960's or 1970's vehicle you have to include some rust.

  • What do you use to repaint them and can you buy wheels for 1/64 scale cars or do just have to take them off of another car?

    • To repaint them I remove the original paint, primer it and use a rattle can to

      paint it.

I would take the wheels from another car,yes

  • Do you just use wheels and axles you dismantled from other cars or do you buy wheels?

Oh and how do you put cars back together again, do you weld them?

    • I use wheels from other cars, but now I have found an online seller that sells them by themselves.😀

To put them back together I use a glue

      called speedy fix👍

  • How do you lower the cars if the tabs have broken off that keep the wheels in place

    • You see the slot where the wheels fit in the interior piece, I would cut down there making the gap bigger=lower car
