'Tis one of my dreams to be able to drive my '83 corsa around town like my mother did when she bought it in 1985, said dream is likely months away thankfully because I finally found a workshop who's willing to take care of its rust problems.

Have no doubt, I love my little Corsa, in that car my mother was able to go from hose to house dressing people's hair, providing a little extra income to her widowed mother, in that car, her brother found fun and usefullnes and some "action" likely (if you now what I mean) it is in the rear benches of that very same car where my own, very first memories come from, of me playing around the speakers as if they were a figure 8 with two toy cars I specifically had for playing in the Corsa every morning during the trip to the kindergartner, one of them I still have, 20 years... later... holy shitesla... Twenty years... T-two decades... I can still remember those memories as if it was yesterday... Mother of mercy how didn't I noticed the time passing... am I that old already 😨? Holy shitesla, excuse me for one second I think I'm freaking out a little...

Ok, I'm better now (I think), anyway, back to the Corsa, I love the damn thing, I think its beautiful as it is but with bigger wheels (15') to fill that wheel gap and maybe adjustable coilovers but thats all, to me it would be perferct BUT(T) there is a catch... For its own good it can't stay stock, this car is on it's second 1.0L I4 single carb engine since either my mother or her uncle seized the first one via lack of maintenance, it current engine (which mind you came from a junk car) has a lot of kilometres behind it and I'm unsure how many it has left, it's seatbelts are from 1983 which means they are literally a belt hooked to a hardpoint on the chassis, the seat mounts are basic and it would be better if I welded newer hardpoints for modern seats, the chassis is old and has rust damage on top of having 1980's safety standards so it will likely need reinforcing...

As you can see there are a lot of things to do to my little rustbucket which gives me an opportunity to modify everything I need, I also went to my local vehicle inspection office to ask exactly how much can I modify a car and well... they told my that I could do anything, with enough paperwork and a good engeneer I could literally make it RWD without getting into legal trouble😃

So as you can imagine I have a pretty large mod list and I would like my car's exterior to match its fancyer inner bits, the problem is: I found that bodykit for sale by a manfacturer a few months ago, but last night I checked and to my utter dread I found THIS:

LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY 😭

LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY 😭

LOOK AT THAT AND COMPARE

Look at those horrid wheel arch extensions, look how the lines are forced onto the Corsa's bodylines and compare to the absolute thicccness of the first one, look how the new bumpres smoothly integrate into the fenders, look at that indentation to integrate the fuel cap, where as the blue one there is only a hole on the otherwise featureless fender. A DISGRACE, it isn't even my version of the Corsa, look at those tiny sh*tty headlight and compare them with mine: BIG, CONFIDENT, LOOKING INTO YOUR SOUL WHILE LETTING YOU RETURN THE GAZE LIKE A F*CKING DECENT AN WELL EDUCATED PERSON/CAR/SUITABLE COMPARISON!

LOOK AT THAT BULLSH*T

THE WHOLE THING WENT FROM HERO TO ZERO, IT'S A WATERED DOWN VERSION OF THE FIRST ONE, I WANTED CHAD AND ALL THEY OFFER ME IS CHAV!!!!!!!

Ignore the Cartoon Network watermark, please act as if this was a normal meme

Anyway... I need your help...

Could anybody please find where I can buy a bodykit like the one in white with stripes? Please I beg of you, links, names, references... anything, I don't think you can imagine how a mere image and possibility of purchase can keep someone going... BTW I know thatisnt a custom job, there are a few like those around.

Anyways thank you for your time, now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry in dissappointment on my bed while also having an anxiety inducing line of thought becasue I had to leave my little boye with extangers and exposed to rain while it waits to get fixed, bye <3

  • The white car in the photo is a nova Irmscher GTE

Or that’s what they were called in the U.K.

in the early 90s my friends and I all drove Vauxhall’s and one of my friends had one

I’ll try find some photos for you but it was a long time ago

His was a dealership extra from Irmscher. I’m not sure if they still make them but it may be helpful to you.

It would be nice if you could let me know how you get on.

    Good luck on your project
