In a post that at the time of writing is trending at #1 on DriveTribe, Clarkson sought to quell fears that The Grand Tour has been axed.
He reminded us that The Grand Tour will return to our screens via Amazon Prime Video later this year, as we still have a Colombia Special and an entire third season to come.
However, attached to the message is a photo of a dashboard clock displaying the date in the standard European format: date, month, year.
When read in the American date format (month, date, year) it actually says 3rd November 2018.
Given that Clarkson was talking specifically about Season 3 of The Grand Tour, some have speculated that he was, in fact, announcing the release date in an uncharacteristically subtle fashion.
Season 1 of The Grand Tour premiered on 18 November 2016. Season 2 was delayed because of numerous incidents, including the hospitalisation of all three presenters, so didn't premiere until 8 December 2017.
We would expect Season 3 to begin around November 2018, so 3 November is an entirely plausible release date.
