Don Schumacher Expanding Manufacturing Operations

An exciting new venture for everyone involved

This week, Don Schumacher Motorsports Precision Manufacturing, also known as DSM, announced that they are going to be expanding their operation to automotive, defense, equipment/manufacturing and aerospace industries.

Since 2005, DSM has been the leader in outfitting race teams across multiple series with high performance parts. When it all started DSM was an R&D center and specialty parts manufacturer for the DSR cars so, as DSM vice president Chad Osier said, they could guarantee quality control by producing key engine components in house.

It didn't take long for other teams to take notice and soon they were producing parts for them as well. With the help of their strategic partners, Sandvik Coromant (tooling), Okuma (machining), Mastercam (programming), Stratasys (3-D printing) and Hangsterfer's (cutting), they have been able to take on high profile projects such as DSM engine block and cylinder head assembly which is used by all the DSR teams, a collaboration with Mopar, SRT and BES Racing Engines to offer a wide variety of components and parts for Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak race car. They also have heavy involvement in the NHRA Factory Stock Showdown, aside from having two drivers compete in it they offer on site parts support for Drag Pak owners.

Because they make everything in house, their end to end support means they are able to offer competitive pricing and on time delivery. Osier says customers can expect the highest level of service and quality and a one stop shop supplier solution in DSM.
