Driver abandons his McLaren 650S in the snow, because Mother Nature
In the grand battle of McLaren vs Snowstorm, there was only one winner.......
If you think us Brits were walloped by the beast from the east last week, then spare a thought for this poor McLaren 650S owner in Pennsylvania, USA.
In a real case of Mother Nature winning over man-made technology, the errant McLaren driver made the questionable decision to venture out in a snowstorm in his £200k supercar. As you can see from the pictures, when things started to go sideways (literally) he decided it was too dangerous to continue smack in the middle of a junction, because for some reason people without common sense can afford supercars.

The abandoned 650S was spotted at a junction in the Pennsylvania city of Hazelton. For those of you unfamiliar with this location, it's the highest city in the state at some 1,900 feet resulting in a snowstorm with surrounding areas merely suffering heavy rain.
According to local channel Hazleton News 1, the bemused driver of the 650S crawled through the white out before coming to an undignified halt at the junction. From here he did the least sensible thing you can do by promptly abandoning his hand-built exotic by refusing to go any further until the surrounding roads were cleared, because common sense.

The McLaren 650S is a 641bhp twin-turbo powered rear-wheel-drive supercar that should be a sideways weapon in the snow, but only if you have the correct tyres and the chops the make it happen.
While the driver remains unidentified, the Facebook post from the local news channel did manage to attract some sympathy for him due to the amusing nature of the incident.

How do so many retards like this guy get that much money?
They write articles for drivetribe
I’m certain the owner of this McLaren does not write for us....
If you’ve got enough money to buy a mclaren you’ve got enough money to buy a winter beater 4x4 and leave the supercar in the garage.
His "slight error in judgement"? Would that be the choice of car, the choice of tyre for the conditions, the decision to abandon it in the middle of an intersection, or just the general lack of common sense applied to his entire day? Which "slight error" are we talking about?
All of them.....
check this out!
I've ridden my motorcycle across ice in a corner, and I've ridden home from work in the snow on my motorcycle. That dude just doesn't know how to drive on snow. For reference, here's a picture of that motorcycle, with those exact same tires.
Very nice bike, and advanced level bravery!
I didn't have a choice on the first corner with ice, but I managed to take it so I drove across the second corner with ice. I know that snow is different than ice, so I rode home on that. (The ice and snow were different days)
