before i start, i just want to say that this is basically my public diary. i'll be writing in my tribe, Millenial Motors, about my experiences as a new driver. these are my personal stories that one day, i hope to be able to view again when i'm old enough to not be able to see the road anymore. anyways, feel free to read through as much of it as you like...

ok. so ever since i was a child (i say that like i'm all grown up now - i'm still 16), i've shared a deep fascination with the wheeled metal boxes that moved people about. they also moved me. i remember the first love i ever had was when i was 4, with a honda integra. since then, i've longed for the day where i could operate these machines. i did get a chance to compete in junior go-karting championships but, despite winning thailand's most prestigious junior race, never really made it into a career. however, the thrill of driving cemented my passion in cars, and so i did the most obvious thing i could. start studying for the driving test. at the age of 11.

fast forward 5 years, which were filled with me trying to learn vehicular mechanics and engineering, and i'm now 16. which means, in australia, i can now get a learners' permit license. i hoped the five years of studying would make me pass the theory test first try, as to earn bragging rights among my friends. this was what i had been looking forward to my entire life. and like all great drivers, i failed the test. which was really depressing but never mind, i got it on my next try. now, armed with my license, i could use all the skills i had gained through karts and beamNG. drive simulators to set off on the public roads. of course, it doesn't really work like that.

my first go at driving my parents' honda nearly resulted in an accident with our own mailbox. this was an important wake-up call, as it reminded me how much i had to learn about. so i suppose that means i'm off to do a couple more hours in one parking lot. i wonder whether that counts towards your driving hours.
