The worldwide phenomenon known as Cars & Coffee has been widely imitated; there is however only one original movement, and it recently came to London for its first-ever official event.
The event itself was huge, of the 120 cars in attendance, 20 were classed as ‘Hypercars’. C&C is the only place where you can see three LaFerrari’s and four Porsche 918 Spyders parked within a few feet of a legendary Ferrari F40.
Amongst the exotic metal on display were such rarities as a McLaren FT GTR, a P1 LM, a McLaren 675 LT and even a Konigsess Agera R. Other highlights ranged from a replica KITT car to Lamborghini's and a crop of Porsche’s 911’s which ranged from vintage to modern examples.
With the event starting early at Topaz detailing in London, followed by a countryside drive leading to the second leg in the picturesque village of Hambledon. So that team DriveTribe could attend C&C London and not be outdone with all the Supercars in attendance, we enlisted the help of Stratstone Aston Martin who kindly gave us the keys to this, the stunning Aston Martin Vanquish.
Boasting the AM29 V12 engine with 568bhp, the big Grand Tourer held its own against the mass of supercars on the day. It was amongst a handful of V8 Aston’s in attendance and only one other V12 in the form of a DBS model on the day.
The Vanquish is one of those cars that makes a massive impact wherever you go, on the road to Hambledon the V12 dominated proceeding as it burbled its way through the countryside as we took travelled with our convoy of horsepower.
