DT Community: Your best 'Dream garage' picks
Last week, while trying our hardest not to do any real work, we at the DT office found ourselves in heated debate about the ultimate 3 car garage. So varied and eclectic were our choices, that I thought I'd better put them into an article and see what you lot made of it all. Here it is in case you missed it:
Having each made our 3 choices - comprised of a daily driver, weekend car, and a do-what-you-want pick, I then asked you, the wise and just DT community, to decide who had come up with the best list, and then tell us your own picks. The vote was rather unanimous...
I love you guys. Rest assured I've been sending everyone in the office 'Smug Clarkson face' memes all week.
As for your own garage picks, you guys did not disappoint, giving some amazing suggestions in the comments. We'll decide which of you came up with the tastiest 3 car combo in a second, but first we need to hand out a few honourable mentions (for very mixed reasons)…
-Anthony Chu caught my eye with a Lexus LFA wildcard pick. Awesome, awesome choice. The 'anything you want' slot is of course, an entirely personal choice, but for me the best ones are cars that offer a certain something no other car can offer. And you’d struggle to find anything that comes anywhere near the LFA's ability to rev and scream.
-Tadek Tadek - so nice they named him twice - really put the WILD in wildcard - he went for a modified Lada Riva V8, (google it) a combination of words that make about as much sense as ‘Rolls Royce Superleggera’ or ‘Thrilling Daihatsu’. Fair play Tadek, you madman.
-Mohamed Hashem scored serious points in my book by selecting an RWB 993 Porsche 911 as his wildcard pick… before pissing those points away with his selection of a Vw Corrado for his weekender. Seriously dude, I offer you an imaginary blank cheque and you treat yourself to a VW worth £5K? I bet you buy 1-ply toilet paper for yourself too. And you know what? You deserve that poop on your hand.
-Muhammad Ayaan Bin Asif: Congrats, you’ve won the inaugural ‘Worst thing you could’ve possibly chosen’ award. Again, he started so well, scoring big respect with a Mazda RX-7 weekend car. But then he chose the Mercedes G63 for his wildcard. The 6x6 version. Each to their own I guess, it’s certainly unique... and I’m sure it comes with plenty of convenient storage space for your penis tweezers.
Anyway, to business. Below are the 5 best community picks for the ultimate 3 car garage. Be sure to vote for your favourite, and may the best Tribey win:
Ahmed A - Daily Driver: Toyota Land Cruiser
Weekend Car: Ferrari F12
Wildcard: 1971 Nissan Skyline GT-R

Weekend Car: 2018 Aston Martin Vantage
Wildcard: Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyder
Jordan Coughlan - Daily Driver: Cadillac CTS-V
Not as crude as many in Europe believe - hot Caddys are seriously capable cars these days. Also HORSEPOWER
