Ducati announcing 5 new models before 2022 including Desert X off-roader
We might also see a smaller capacity Streetfighter
Ducati's just announced a series of online new-bike reveals – including one for a production version of the Desert X – an off-road rally raid bike shown in concept form a few years ago.
The Desert X is a brand-new model for Ducati, and while the concept from 2019 used an oil/air-cooled engine from the Scrambler range, the production model gets an upgrade to a more aggressive 937cc liquid-cooled jobby – likely from the Multistrada 950.
The Bolognan brand released two teaser pics of the Desert X in full camo, showing it to retain the twin headlights from the concept, along with a proper off-road 21-inch front wheel and the requisite amount of dank skids.
The Desert X will be revealed on 9 December on Ducati's YouTube channel, but every fortnight up until then we'll get to see another new bike for the 2022 line-up. Here's the list of dates and the slightly cryptic names for each episode. "A new Fighter in town" sounds very much like we'll see a new Streetfighter – hopefully a Streetfighter V2 based on the Panigale V2. Leave your best guesses for the other new bikes in the comments!
