When the Focus was introduced in the 90's, it was a tool for Ford to reduce overall emissions to balance trucks and get young buyers into the brand. It's become much more than that, including a rally race platform.
In '99 Colin McRae and Simon Jean-Joseph drove a Focus race car in Monte Caro, replacing the iconic Escort rally car. Once behind the wheel of the RS, you immediately sense the rally origins, especially with the .38 caliber single pop exhaust note.
This car is clever, digital and powerful. Keep it in the boost and you can surf the revs smoothly, retain all the power on tap and also keep the suspension sprung, which translates to awesome traction and great fun.
