Ecoboost'n from CPT to the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb

- The Focus managed a decent 6,4l/100 km on the round trip from Cape Town to Knysna and back. It might have returned an even more impressive consumption figure if I removed those surfers roof rails.
- Having covered over 1200km during the weekend the Focus was surprisingly comfortable and made light work of overtaking.
- Sedans of this ilk are very rare in South Africa, and the Focus Sedan is certainly a compelling product for the money. Space, efficiency and a pretty well sorted chassis. Certainly an under appreciated car.
- In Trend spec this Focus is bang in the middle of the range and comes with all the goodies you could need. This particular Focus can park itself if you really want it to.

The CARmag long-term test car the Ford Focus 1.0T EcoBoost was entrusted to me for the weekend of the 2017 Knysna Festival of Speed.
