While Ed Jones may not have finished the 2017 IndyCar as strong as he started it, his efforts have been enough to secure him a ride in one of IndyCar's best teams.
Announced today, the 22 year old Dubai native will be driving alongside Scott Dixon in the #10 NTT Data car for next season.
In a press release Jones said, "This is truly an honor to have the opportunity to drive for Chip, his organization and to represent NTT Data."
He further elaborated by saying, "Chip runs one of the biggest and best motor racing teams in the world, and equally important, in a proven winner across each series he competes in, from Le Mans to Indianapolis and beyond."
Ganassi will only run Dixon and Jones in full time rides next season, effectively halving his present operation of four cars.
Tony Kanaan, who Jones is replacing, has already been announced as having signed a multi-year deal for AJ Foyt Enterprises. Ganassi's two other former drivers, Max Chilton and Charlie Kimball, have yet to announce their 2018 plans.
