Elon Musk shares video of Cybertruck window NOT breaking
Musk tweeted out a video of the new truck's window not breaking right before its launch
The now infamous moment of Tesla's chief designer chucking a steel ball at Tesla's new pickup truck window, and it subsequently breaking has gone viral. However, to dispel any neigh-sayers Elon Musk has tweeted out a video of the window not breaking.
This video was taken right before the unveiling of Tesla's radical new Cybertruck. The new window design is meant to be truly indestructible, even when met with a steel ball flying through the air. However, when it came time to demo this new feature onstage it didn't go exactly to plan.
As Tesla's chief design Franz Von Holshouzen hurled the steel ball at the truck's window it left quite the mark. However, as we can see in the video that Musk tweeted out that same truck survived the test with ease. The billionaire CEO then joked that "Guess we have some improvements to make before production haha".
It's hard to tell why the truck's windows shattered onstage, however, the original impact shared by Musk surely would not have helped the structural integrity of those new windows. That being said, it is certain that this issue will be fixed by the time production starts in 2021.
