Where have all my brain cells gone?

I started this tribe with the best of intentions.

I knew I had lots of things to say, and I knew I had lots of good words stuck inside my head that were just waiting to be spilled onto lovely shiny interweb pages for you to read. I even did exciting things I wanted to write about.

I went to the Ferrari exhibition at the Design Museum back in March, and it was excellent. I took many lovely photos, and I had lots of good ideas for how I wanted to write about it. I even spent an obscene amount of money on the rather lovely exhibition book so I could use it for fact-checking, and also to provide more interesting source material.

It was fabulous. Look.

And then I didn't get around to writing about it

And then I didn't get around to writing about it.

I meant to. Honest. But then I think some kind of time warp may have happened, because suddenly it stopped bloody snowing (remember snow? That was a thing we had in the Olden Days of March 2018...) and the sun came out and I promptly had a bit of a medical catastrophe and just when I thought I was up to going back to work, I had another medical catastrophe and had a delightful day in A&E.

It turns out it's quite embarrassing to be taken out of your office in a wheelchair and carted away in an ambulance - especially when what's happened is that you've basically just fainted, rather than anything more sinister (well, OK, it was vasovagal syncope, which is more or less just fainting, but in my defence, I don't normally go right out when happens and I was incoherent on the floor for quite some time, which gave my manager a bit of a scare to put it mildly).

Anyway. I am still alive, and because I was still alive in May, I went to the London Motor Show, and I had a lovely time, thank you for asking.

Here I am trying out the CCM Spitfire Bobber for size. It was quite a good fit, and as I'm only 5'2", that was a nice surprise. I also took the photo of the old and new TVR Griffith at the top of this article while I was there, and I have many interesting things to say about it. I won't say them now, because I will be writing about them at some point, honest. Hopefully it'll be this weekend, but who knows?

Anyway, I was sure that I would get something written before I went on holiday, but suddenly I found myself in Greece, enjoying the beginning of the unusually hot weather we've been seeing across pretty much all of Europe this summer, rescuing kittens and noticing that the economy has improved since my last visit to Parga (where I stayed) because there were fewer rusting hulks and dilapidated mopeds being driven regularly, and much more diverse new cars. Although, BAD NEWS! Last time I was there, the Dacia Duster was the car of choice for people who could actually afford something that wasn't falling apart, but this time they had all but disappeared...

And then there was a ridiculous heatwave, and I've been too knackered to do anything. But DriveTribe has decided that they're going to merge dormant tribes and I hadn't used this one for a while (certainly more than the three months they stipulated). It's amazing what a kick up the arse that idea was. I only came here to submit some merch ideas today, but here I am, with a whole page of words, a gallery of pictures, and even a terrible photo of me (sorry it's so massive). So watch this space - I may get around to writing something properly yet!
