Ensure you aren't one of the customers driving your Cadillac CT4 wrongly badged!
1,155 examples have been affected in total.
Bigger the organisations, more the number of departments and products, greater is the probability of things going haywire. Recently, this news has been doing rounds on the internet that 1155 units of the Cadillac CT4 shoehorning the 2.7-litre turbocharged banger were found to be 'wrongly badged.'
According to GM's novel nomenclature system, all the samples of the car with the aforementioned engine configuration are to bear '500T' insignia on the boot. However, some ran off the assembly line flanking '450T' monikers instead which has resulted in the brewing of a ginormous amount of quibbles on the internet.
Cadillac follows the parlance of using the torque figures in Newton-metres to assign the trim levels to each of its models. The CT4 sedan churns out 475 Nm torque. In this case, the number will be rounded-off to 500 and the boot will be adorning the '500T' badge.
GM has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) after certain 2020 CT4 units were delivered with false badges. Make sure you aren't one of those customers.
