Envision Virgin Racing has partnered with Harrods
The Formula E team launched a new Future Mobility Exhibition launched today at the iconic department store
There are many things you'd expect to find in London's legendary Harrods department store. One of those things is probably not an electric racing car! That's exactly what's happening though, as from today Harrods will have a new Future Mobility Exhibition in the store! This is thanks to a partnership with the Envision Virgin Racing Formula E team, who started the exhibition today as part of the run-up to the London E-Prix and the COP26 climate summit.

The Future Mobility Exhibition will showcase Formula E cars from past and present that have been run by Envision Virgin Racing, making it the first time an electric racing car has been put on display at Harrods! The exhibition will also have a whole host of interactive features, including a racing simulator that'll give visitors the chance to test their driving skills by entering a competition to set the closest lap time to Envision Virgin Racing driver Nick Cassidy. The person who sets the closest time to Cassidy will win free tickets to the London E-Prix!

As part of the new collaboration with Harrods, Envision Virgin Racing's cars will have Harrods branding on them as part of the team's livery. The Harrods branding will definitely be clearly visible when the cars take to the track in London later this month!
"Ahead of the exciting London E-Prix this summer, we are delighted to showcase these incredible electric vehicles in our iconic Brompton Road exhibition windows," said Alex Unitt, Director of Partnerships at Harrods. "Harrods has a long history in automotive and this is a unique opportunity for motorsport lovers to get close to these cars for the first time and to even experience driving them through the interactive racing simulator inside the store. Formula E champions an important message about global climate action and we are very proud to support the Envision Virgin Racing Formula E team."
"London is one of the most affected cities in Europe for air pollution. This is why transitioning to clean, green electric vehicles is crucial if we’re to reduce this, as well as play our part in tackling climate change," said James Mercer, Commercial Director at Envision Virgin Racing. "Our mission is to use our platform to raise awareness of this cause and what better way than with a display right in the heart of one of London’s best-known roads in one of London’s most iconic landmarks, and ahead of the all-important London E-Prix."
The Future Mobility Exhibition will be open to all until June 25. The London E-Prix will take place on June 24 and 25 at London's ExCel venue in Docklands and (in a world first!) will be raced on a combined indoor and outdoor circuit. With its' own Robin Frijns currently leading the championship, Envision Virgin Racing will certainly be looking for top results going into the race!
