There's something about Eurobeat, twisting roads, and a Corolla hatchback that just go so well together. More so when you've taken your E210 Corolla hatchback (which also happens to be white), and stiffen the suspension up a bit. It's like this car was designed with Bunta and Takumi Fujiwara in mind. Yes the engines a bit underwhelming in the low revs (kind of like the 4AGE), but in the high revs, it comes to life. And the chassis... Man what a FWD chassis. Once you eliminate some of the body roll by stiffening the springs and dampers up, and by adding a big rear sway bar, you can feel the car rotate smooth and predictably into the corners. Even on the OEM supplied Yokohama Avid S tires that come equipped on the XSE with 18" wheels, you can get a lot out of this car. If you increase the tire width and go to a softer compound it can produce enough grip that it's almost boring to drive fast in the corners. Hands down, the sleeper of the modern compact hatchback. Unless you are driving straight lines.... Then it's pretty underwhelming.
