Capital Cars & Classics is an annual classic car fair, held since 2016 in the center of Amsterdam. Here and you can see the very best and most exclusive classic cars in a beautiful hangar which has a great industrial feel. Unique, selected old-timers and young-timers are the main attraction of this event.
We parked our car in the special parking area where visitors with a classic- or exclusive car are invited to park in front of the main entrance. (So to make sure we arrived in style, we off course took our Citroën DSpécial.) After we parked the DSpécial in a nice spot, we entered the Kromhouthal where the event was held.
When you enter the former ship-engine factory you immediately notice the beauty of the location, which isn't huge but feels exclusive. The show features all kinds of classic cars, brought there by a wide range of companies like classic car dealerships and restoration facilities to resto-modders and pre-war racing rental services. Exotic supercars and the odd high end tuning project are represented as well, with the likes of several McLarens like the McLaren 720S and Porches like the 911 GT2RS, a range of Morgans and more offering a lovely touch of modern contrast amongst all the vintage metal. Companies like Schmidt-Oss and Top Hat proudly show their custom projects; bespoke Porsche 964’s that are able to compete with big names like Singer Vehicle Design in build quality and looks and entirely personalized Defenders with V8 engines sourced from Corvettes.
Besides cars, the event also offers quality culinary titbits for the hungry car enthusiast as well as luxury lifestyle items such as watches, clothing, high-end car miniatures and entertainment in the form of live music as well. All of this is hosted in an industrial ambiance in one of the most trending parts of the Netherlands’ capital city.
The 4th edition will be held on March 16th and 17th of 2019, and discounted early bird tickets are already available.
