Ever wondered what a Countach-F40 crossbreed looks like?
Here it is and it is quintessentially 1980's
Ferrari and Lamborghini are the greatest car manufactures in Italy and, perhaps the entire world. The two Italian auto icons have a rivalry that has been ongoing on for more than half a century and the competition has resulted in some of the most crazily designed cars ever. Two that immediately come to mind are the Ferrari F40 and the Lamborghini Countach. With large spoilers and no shortage of vents, the F40 and the Countach are the definition of 80's supercars. They are SO 80's that it would be hard to choose one as the poster child for super cars in that decade. Just imagine if you could mash the two of them together reflecting 80's-esque design cues and creating that indescribable 80's feeling.
Well, designer Abimelec Arellano didn't just imagine it, he actually did a computer-generated hybrid of these 80's darlings and it has the coolest name. The "C0NT4ACH" features a slew of vents and insane proportions creating a perfect mix of the Ferrari F40 and Lamborghini Countach. Its wedge-shaped body, the bright colors and pop up headlights (unfortunately not shown facing up) create nostalgia for 80's pop and leg warmers. Arellano even went so far as to include the F40's slatted rear window, and the Countach's iconic wing. Hopefully on Arellano's design the wing will actually improve aerodynamics and add downforce, unlike the original found on the Countach. In the end, this is a perfect mashup between the two of the best cars the world has seen. Personally, I love it, but tell us what you think in the comments below.
