The risks of taking 12 cars to the Scottish Highlands to shoot a grouptest are extreme. There is a strong likelihood of rain, snow, wind, storms, midgies, terrible food, Irn-Bru overload and even more rain. Then you introduce 12 high performance cars, 2 support cars, 18 journalists/drivers/photographers/videographers/designers, and the grouptest has all the ingredients to be the single biggest clusterf*ck known to mankind.

Somehow we managed to dodge any rainfall. The light was good for most of the week and there were only a couple of kerfuffles between drivers, over who was having to drive the car with the least creature comforts.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 won the judges over, buy my winner of ecoty 2015 was the Highlands and its epic light, bro.
Whilst it will go down in history for being a great year for the selection of cars, it was the Scottish Highlands and the North Coast 500 route that won all of our hearts.
Popping over every crest revealed another photo opportunity.
If you're planning on driving the North Coast 500 take as many memory cards as you can afford and allow at least 4 months for the journey - the photo opportunities are endless. ENDLESS.
Fake lens flare seems to be a 'thing' these days in automotive photography. You won't find any here.
