Explosive stunt with a rally car

Watch the fiery jump of an Audi 80 over three exploding cars.

What would you do after your retirement from being an Californian hockey pro?

The Finn Teemu Selänne answered this question with explosive effect.

He took the chance to do a car stunt in 2015, when the Finnish MTV3 show "Posse" made the former NHL player jump over three exploding cars using a rally trimmed Audi 80.

You can see in the video that there was a lot of stuff flying around inside the car. Nuts and bolts arose from the centre console and even the frame of the rearview mirror was hitting Selanne in his face. Also his co-pilot's airbag went bang. The distance shots do not reveal any signs of health and safety beside some fire extinguisher standing around the Posse-crew.

But maybe this is exactly how it should look like.

You can scroll to 2:00 for the action:

What do you think?

Is this just badly prepared idiocy and a miracle that none got hurt or...

No, wait, someone actually got hurt: After the stunt, Selanne twittered that he has got a sore neck and back.

So was this car jump just stupid and dangerous or really cool?

Tell me what you think in the comments.

  • A stunt man is one thing I wanted to be as a kid. That was short lived

    • That's a cool dream for a kid I think. I wanted to be MacGyver. I did not care that it was no actual job. 😄
