- Carlos Sainz leading? (**2020 Portuguese GP flashbacks intensify**)

F1 2020, one of the best racing games I've ever played.

A tearful farewell to the last game Codemasters made before EA stepped in.

When this game was released, I was just getting into Formula 1 and I was playing all the trials I could. It was a steep learning curve and I didn't understand the detail that the games had. To me, the 2017, 18 and 19 versions of the game were exactly the same. In fact, I thought that they were getting worse because of the removal of tyre/tire compounds. Then, I understood that there were huge differences between them and when I got into the world of F1 gaming channels, I knew that F1 2020 was good. Only problem was, it was insanely expensive.

So, I waited for months and months until a sale came along, and finally, I got it. When I started my My Team career mode, I knew that this was one of the biggest step ups Codemasters had ever made. The freedom that you had was unlike anything I had seen before, and with the addition of weekly races with objectives, even if I was bored of My Team, I always had something to do. Apart from the gamemodes, the handling was also completely overhauled and it felt much more smooth. The A.I was also different and they put up a good fight.

There was also Formula 2 which really highlighted the difference in speed, aerodynamics, and handling. The weekend structure was done well. Haven't played it much, so not a lot to say about it.

I've been playing the game for more than a year now, and even though f1 2021 has come out, I think I'm going to stick with this for a little bit.
