F1 has launched its own eyewear collection with Formuleyes to celebrate 70th Anniversary as Circuit Zandvoort adds CM.com in its name.

F1 has added another business in its portfolio as it inked a new licencing deal with specialist eyewear company Formuleyes. It will have an exclusive collection of premium glasses, celebrating the sport’s past, present and future.

It is part of their 70th Anniversary celebrations. The first collection will have three pairs of glasses, where 'Titanium' will be the highlight which is made from sustainable material and manufactured using a zero footprint 3D-printed titanium technology.

It will be available to buy from September 25 onward. The 'Gold', meanwhile, will be in the market from October 25, again offering sustainable quality, crafted from handmade cellulose acetate, titanium and carbon fibre.

At the same time, the 'Red' will be available from November 25, which combines sport and fashion providing eyewear that can be worn on the street or the track. Joan Carrera Lopez, Sr. Manager Consumer Products and Licensing, F1, said:

"We are very excited to launch a range of products in a category that we believe is at the very core of our brand. Eyewear and motor racing have always been connected and we are proud to partner with Formuleyes to deliver a great collection to our fans."

Didier Coton, Executive Chairman & CEO, Formuleyes, added: "Whether on or off the track, Formula 1 has always demanded the highest and best qualities when it comes to technical, precision, innovation and design.

"Following the same ethos today, we are honoured to collaborate with the F1 group. It is for this reason, as a team, we are proud today to launch the first of many Formula 1 Eyewear collections. Our plan going forward is to introduce new and exciting models every year that will give an insight into this unique and fascinating sport."

Circuit Zandvoort name change:

Staying with the F1 news, Netherland's Circuit Zandvoort has renamed itself ahead of its delayed return to the calendar. The Dutch GP was supposed to take place in May of 2020 but COVID-19 forced it to be delayed until the 2021 season.

A Grade 1 license renewal until July 7 paves way for it to be held in May of 2021 - actual date undecided as yet - under its new name 'CM.com Circuit Zandvoort', after inking a deal with the tech firm, which looks after the circuit's digital infrastructure.
