In the past four race weekends, 32 drivers from 19 nations competed, with ten coming from Germany. The average age was 17.09 years. Six Rookie drivers from four nations are making their début this season in the German category. The 32 drivers have raced participated for eleven teams from five different nations. The most of them – five in total – are coming from Germany. In addition, there are two teams from Austria and Italy, along with one from the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Felipe Drugovich has celebrated the most victories so far, with both Juri Vips and Marcus Armstrong have taken two race wins each. The US Racing trio with current Rookie Champion Nicklas Nielsen, Kim-Luis Schramm and Julian Hans have each headed to the top of the podium once. Lirim Zendeli (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., BWT Mücke Motorsport) and Newcomer Frederik Vesti (Van Amersfoort Racing) have also added their names to the list of winning drivers.
With a total of 15 victories, 2016 champion Joey Mawson (currently driving for Van Amersfoort Racing in the European F3 championship) keeps the record of being the most successful driver in ADAC Formula 4.

The most victories in the Rookie standings have been scored by Mick Wishofer. The 17-year-old won five times. Furthermore, he reached the so-called "clean sweep" at the beginning of July in Oschersleben, by topping the Rookie standings in all three races of the weekend. Before him, only two other ADAC F4 drivers managed to do the same in 2015: David Beckmann (2x) and Mike David Ortmann (1x).
Nine different drivers have started races from pole position, with Drugovich, Kami Laliberté (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Armstrong each leading the field from the start twice. Schramm, Nielsen, Hanses, Michael Waldherr (Neuhauser Racing), Louis Gachot (Van Amersfoort Racing) and David Malukas (Motopark) have also started one race each from pole position. It was five times that the fastest driver of qualifying has also won the race (Nielsen, Schramm, Hanses, Armstrong, Drugovich).
The closest finish could be seen in race 3 at Red Bull Ring with Vips crossing the line only 0,473 seconds ahead of Nielsen. The biggest lead has been gained by Vesti in the third race at Oschersleben, with the Dane being 2,810 seconds ahead of second placed Waldherr.
