"FAMILY CARS TURNED BALLER HAULERS." // THE HIGHLIGHTS OF BOVAGON 3 EVENT
BovaGon is the place to be for anyone who loves Boxes, Wagons or Vans. A truly awesome showcase of people haulers turned 4-wheel "ballers haulers."
"BovaGon" is an acronym made from the words, Boxes, Vans, and Wagons. That's what can be expected to be seen at this show and beyond! Take a look at some of these whipped up rides.
(PHOTO BY: Hanalei KR Jaquez) Special interior touches are a must for VIP styles.
A lot of the participants come from all over the U.S. to attend this show and with that being said, the styles differentiate quite a bit. You'll see some of the wildest V.I.P builds here at this event that will raise some eyebrows and turn some heads for sure.
TAKE THIS SCION XB FOR EXAMPLE.
Originally the creators of the event known as "Boxed Lifestyle" began in 2013. By 2015 they had already established their name across the country so they had the idea of putting together a car meet similar to a car show bringing out food trucks and vendors for the attendees to enjoy and purchase merchandise to support local brands and foodies alike. The empanada's paired with a frosty snow cone hit the spot in the blazing Florida sun. Little Snokyo is a local hometown hero when it comes to serving cold and tasty treat for sure!

With the first year of the "BovaGon" show, the vendors who were brought out we're impressed by the potential of the show with people coming out of state to display some of the most impressive and modified varieties of family haulers to be seen all in one place. Catering to a category that is not often seen, this show caters to the drivers who love to modify vehicles that are not caught by the mainstream attention. Take the few examples seen below and tell me what you think.
RAT ROD FLARE MEETS JDM STYLING.
It's surely not an uncommon sight to see this type of styling done to JDM cars, but it's not often done as well as this Scion I would say. The simple fact the driver actually chose to rust his rear hatch and hood for this Xb/Bb instead of wrapping with either fake rust or any other type of false material like carbon fiber brought a smile to my face, making those types of cosmetic choices shows certainty and dedication to the build you want to see done the way you like it. I applaud the driver for taking on this style alongside adding pieces like the rear diffuser sporting a "Liberty Walk" sticker, the matte olive green paint, fender flares and the EQUIP wheels look well at home on this tuners Scion for sure. What about you?
WORK EQUIP "03" WHEELS where the JDM design roots originate in the late 70's and early 80's
The yellow front fogs, Bb front badge, canards and fender flares really mesh well together on this one-off Xb/Bb.
The re-location of the rear view mirrors are an excellent touch if you want to add a classic JDM styling for today's modern day tuners.
LET'S CONTINUE OUR WALK THROUGH THE SHOW SHALL WE?
"Wes Pullin Automotive By Design" brought out a JDM classic known as the Nissan "PAO" which is a pretty cool little retro style 3-door hatchback offered between 1989-1991 solely in Japan. Japan does really have some cool cars I wish we had here in the states.
VANKULTURE HELPS BREAK THE IDEA OF THAT VANS CAN'T BE BADASS.
"Vankulture" is a big name in this style of modification and was established on 2012. They have been known to bring out some of the baddest vans you've ever seen. The diversity this show brings out alongside other car clubs and affiliates like "Boxed Lifestyle" and "Microhatch" make it for a playground of ideas for builders both veteran and beginner to ponder over while gazing at examples you rarely hear about if your not "in the know" so to speak.

The thing I love most about the V.I.P style is that it caters more to the passengers and not just the driver. When you aim for V.I.P you aim for comfort, luxury, ease of access and ability to immerge the passengers into this, "I feel important." feeling. The outside is not lacking either with most upscale setups being well equipped with an air ride system, highly reputable wheels, and a very clean exterior design. You are not only in the lap of luxury but your also being delivered and making an entrance where ever you go. Where would you go in this Mazda MPV?
JDM AND EURO STYLING, TWO DIFFERENT TASTES, BOTH GREAT FLAVORS.
