If you fancy scratching your long-awaited V10 itch, then you should probably consider buying this absolutely immaculate Dodge Viper RT/10.

Made in 2002, this Dodge Viper is one of just 545 RT/10 convertibles in the world and this one is even more special as only 178 were ever painted in this bright yellow paint. This goes really well against the mirror polished five-spoke wheels.

Inside, the Viper features a simple black leather interior along with A/C, power windows and a basic HVAC system which is all pretty impressive for a car of this age. It also features a much-needed manual gearbox which will make it that much more fun and engaging to drive.

It is powered by a massive 8.0L V10 engine which produces 415hp which has only ever been used for 3,350 miles before ending up for sale at RM Sotheby's. It is estimated to fetch between $30,000 and $40,000 and will be available at the upcoming Amelia Island auction in Florida on May 22nd.

  • May only be 400+ hp from 8 liters...but that was by design. It was overbuilt on purpose, to have low stress loads. They were intentional with the decision to have low horsepower per liter (specific output).

  • How could I not? The car is insufferably hot. You will burn yourself if you rest your arm by the shift lever. It handles like an aircraft carrier, it is just a horrible driving experience.

  • 8ltr but only 450bhp! What do Americans do to their engines?

    • That appears to have a wheezy old heart that liable to fail any minute.

Come on, 8 litres! I’d expect a hell of a lot more out of it than that
