Fancy owning a rare road-legal Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR for $10million?
There's just 25 in existence
Looking to buy an extremely exclusive and rare hypercar and have a spare $10 million knocking about? Well, today might be your lucky day as we have a beautiful 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR Strassenversion here and it wants a new home.
When this first came out back in the late 90s, it was the most expensive new car on sale with a whopping starting price of $1,547,620 (£1,114,924). Since then, prices for these have skyrocketed which is why this one is expected to go for between $8.5 million and $10 million at an upcoming Pebble Beach auction (14th and 15th of August 2021).
Powering this beast is a 6.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 604 horsepower – which is sent straight to the rear wheels via a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox. One of its party tricks is its independent wishbone suspension with coilover shock absorbers at each corner as well as ventilated ceramic composite brakes.
This particular example is like new. It has just 1,442 kilometers (896 miles) on the clock and is in mint condition, which is why it is worth so much. If you are interested in taking a closer look at it, then youn can find the listing on Gooding & Company.
