Farewell to Auto Amateurs Porsche 997
Shoutout to James at Auto Amateur who has sold his Porsche 997 Carrera and replaced it with a 991 Carrera.
Owing or wanting to own a Porsche 911 puts you in touch with the Porsche Community. Sure, each car brand has its on group of enthusiast and experts to help you along the way but with Porsche this feels different. Why, I cannot really explain. I guess it is the heritage, the perceived exclusivity, the racing heritage and the iconic Porsche DNA. When you start a small YouTube channel talking about your Porsche in my case my 997 Carrera from 2006 this enthusiasm from the community is two-fold.
Today I shot a short video about the Porsche 997 community that my channel @michaelbath and Auto Amateur (@autoamateur) are a large part of. Why? Well we just chat about our Porsche 997 journey in an everyday way, no fuss and with embrassement along the way.
A few days ago James at Auto Amateur decided to sell his 997. It has gone. This means nothing to anyone reading this who hasn't watched his videos. Auto Amateurs modification and 997 ownership videos are some of the best and should not be missed if you like the Porsche type 997. The good news is that he has purchased a yet to be revealed 991 Carrera, let the mods begin!
