Fast-forward: electric Night Ride #1 – some more

- Meet Johammer (and my friend and journalist Joost Overzee riding it), Austrian vintage futuristic e-motorcycle, and a head turner for sure. // www.johammer.com/en
- Meet Energica (and a few of us discussing it), Italian super sport e-motorcycle, not for the faint hearted. // www.energicamotor.com
- Energica Ego in detail, Italian super sport e-motorcycle, accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. Nope, nothing wrong with your eyes. // www.energicamotor.com
- Ready for take-off, for what will be everyone's first electric group ride.
- Carefully selected and trained road captains, most of them women, take a look at the route and intersections one more time. Neither of them had ever ridden electric, but trained bikers of course they are.
- Road captains having fun being... road captains.
- These are not test riders but owners, enjoying the e-torque of their bikes massively. The guy on the right, Bert Kellner, takes his FX out in the sticks whenever he can.
- Even though I put this image aside, every publisher picked it up again. Now I realise that after my journey to Istanbul, I see nothing unusual on this dashboard any more.
- Electric slow race under the red-lit Rainbow Monument of Antwerp. No way we could've done this with fuel bikes. The noise would've been unbearable, as would've been the fumes. Now cheers and laughters were the loudest thing one could hear.
- Electric slow race under the railway bridge. What most participants didn't know, is that this bridge is the Rainbow Monument, one of the most conspicuous LGBT markers in the world. It's illuminated in the different rainbow colors every night.

AND THUS IT HAPPENED, ON 8 OCTOBER 2016, I PULLED THE TRIGGER FOR THE VERY FIRST /// ELECTRIC NIGHT RIDE /// IN EUROPE. LARGEST IN THE WORLD THUS FAR.
