Ferrari 458 Italia. The best Ferrari till date

Ferrari 458 Italia is better than a F40.

The F430 came out with pride and a funny face. it had the engine the sound the power and it had a feeling of a proper Ferrari. It was the one of the best car in its segment. But when Ferrari launched the 458 it did something different. What had Ferrari done was gave the world a timeless classic supercar of all time.

The tractor maker just had a V10 and good looks, the four rings bank for buck strategy didn’t make any sense, Britain gave up, Mercedes had just one more horse up its arse(and the stupid doors) and the 911 wasn’t even considered. McLaren even said 458 Italia was a great car but our car (MC4-12C) is technically better. Even Jeremy Clarkson was impressed so was James May and Richard Hammond.

The 458 is a work of art and aerodynamic efficiency, featuring a 4.5L naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces a stunning 562 hp at 9,000 RPM. The engine outputs 125 hp per liter, which is a record for the highest amount of power per naturally aspirated piston.

488 GTB and F8 Tributo are nothing compared to the 458 Italia, the current gen and the one before it are just good driving machines. The door handle on the 488 is utter piece of garbage, then there is the side vent which just looks awful and the exhaust note is just catastrophically terrible. How can you get it so wrong?

The smooth lines of the 458, the engine, the gear box, the sound of it is just out of this world. This is a modern classic for sure. When people talk about Ferrari they are like every single model is excellent because “IT’S A FERRARI”, a 2-door car in red paint “LOOK A FERRARI”. Only some of them can hold a candle against the best cars. 458 is better than the Ferrari LaFerrari. F40 is the best supercar ever made even Jeremy said that, but in 2009 F40 lost its crown.

What are your thoughts on the 458 Italia being the best ferrari of all? leave a comment.

  • The 458 is a cracking car, but over an F40. I mean in everyday traffic yes, but the grip and precision combined with the imminent threat of turbos spooling, it must be more of an experience to drive. And the 458 had a history of catching fire.

  • Pista for me. I like the slightly more aggressive design over the 458. But I would still take a 458 without a doubt!

Aged well even with the paint chipping off. What a design indeed.
