A grey Ferrari F12 TDF has been impounded by Paris police after it was caught speeding through France.

The car was being driven a by 60-year old resident of Loire Atlantique who was headed towards Paris on the A11. The car was caught driving along at a whopping 215 km/h (134 mph) in a 130 km/h (81 mph) zone, which is 53 mph over the speed limit.

As a result of this, the police took away the OAP's licence and proceeded to impound his Italian supercar. The driver is scheduled to appear in court later this year.

It is no surprise that the car was able to achieve speeds like this as the F12 TDF is powered by a naturally-aspirated 6.3L V12 engine which produces 759hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. Originally, 799 examples were made, but now one of them resides in prison.

  • To be fair that’s nothing for an F12. I’m not saying it’s okay to speed or he shouldn’t be punished, but if he was in Germany people would be passing him in VW and Audi family cars.

    • They're only chasing a pensioner, not a Blacklist 15 member who's somehow loaded and well-connected enough to race an F12tdf on public roads.

    • To be fair he could have downshifted and floored it.

  • I would rather read stories like this than about some idiot wrapping their Ferrari around a pole.
