A Ferrari FXX-K EVO has crashed during a track day at Italy's Mugello race circuit.

This photo posted on Instagram by Supercar Fails, shows the wrecked hypercar being loaded onto a flatbed truck. It is said that this incident happened during the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali 2021 in November.

Thankfully nobody was injured at Mugello that day, but the car certainly looks a little bent out of shape. As you can see from this image, the FXX-K EVO has suffered extensive damage to its front splitter, bumper, bonnet, and left fender. There also looks to be damage to its wheels – hinting at serious suspension and axle damage.

Ferrari's FXX-K Evo is one of the most expensive and desirable track-only hypercars in the world. Very few were ever made and they were only available to special members of Ferrari’s Corse Clienti program.

Introduced in 2018, the FXX-K EVO is powered by the same V12 engine as the brand's LaFerrari but instead pumps out a staggering 1,036 horsepower. This allows it to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, then onto a top speed of 217 mph.

  • At least it wasn't sitting in Ferrari's garage with an owner who only looks at it. Properly used, respect to the owner👌🏻

  • Sounds a bit weird, but better to go like that than sit in a private collection and never turn a wheel

  • Chances are high that whomever this happened to wrote the car off and moved on already financially... Remember, these aren't people that had all their dream car eggs nestled in one dream car basket.

  • A car like that deserves to be driven. Sometimes this happens, but that's the nature of cars.
