The FIA European Touring Car Cup will visit Most in Czech Republic for the first time in 2017, while Italian track Monza returns to the calendar following a three-year absence as the season opener on 30 April.
In other exciting changes, the Hungaroring near Budapest is back after missing out in 2016 and hosts the second meeting of the year on 14 May. Zolder was also absent this season but returns as the penultimate 2017 event on 17 September. The trip to Belgium will coincide with a round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship.
For the second year running, the ETCC schedule will include visits to legendary tracks the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany and the Vila Real street circuit in northern Portugal. Along with Monza and Hungaroring, they will form part of the FIA World Touring Car Championship support race package.
As in 2016, each ETCC weekend will comprise two test sessions, Free Practice, Qualifying and two races. However, for 2017, both will begin from a standing start with the single-race rolling start format dropped.
