Bugatti has been hyping up the arrival of its more hardcore version of the Chiron over the last few months and now things are finally starting to take shape.

So far we have seen small clips and photos of the car but now Bugatti has said production of the Chiron Pur Sport will begin soon.

The Pur Sport is a lighter and more refined version of the Chiron, with improved aerodynamics, stiffer chassis and special 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels wearing 285/30 and 355/25 Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R tyres which will be like glue for the road.

It will be powered by Bugatti’s signature quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine that produces as astonishing 1,479 HP. But this unit has been revised so it can now rev 200 rpm higher, to 6,900 rpm.

This lighter Chiron will be limited to just 60 units, each costing a whopping 3 million euros each. Bugatti claim 'the first customer vehicles will be delivered before the end of the year' as production begins this autumn.

Are you excited to hopefully see a Chiron Pur Sport one day?

  • Flying Chiron. I don't think I've ever seen a scarier action shot.

  • It's Stephen Winkelmann isn't it who is currently running Bugatti? It's the same case with the Aventador, tonnes and tonnes of special editions of the same car. There's (cmiiw) Chiron, Chiron Sport, Pur Sport, La Voiture Noire, Centodieci, SuperSport 300+ thingy.

I don't want to be that guy on the internet who can only do nothing but complain. But I guess I am. It's just confusing which model is which.
