First look at Alpine F1 Team and new livery
Alpine unveil new team and a special livery ahead of 2021 F1 season.
Alpine F1 Team have today made their official debut into the Formula One world with the launch of their team and a brand new car which will be named the Alpine A521.
Alpine have released their first statement as an F1 team, stating that "The new Alpine entry will combine high-tech excellence and passion for racing to develop high-performance, authentic and exclusive sportscars".
The French brand have also expressed their desire and objectives for the next few years believing that they should be "profitable by 2025, including investment in motorsports".
With Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon piloting the new Alpine car, Alpine hope to "create market value around Alpine and take it to a different league".
The livery that has been unveiled today, however, is only a temporary testing "winter livery". The black colour is a tribute to the A500 F1 prototype from 1975.
After re-branding Renault F1 Team as Alpine, Renault are aiming to hold all sporting Renault activities as united as one entity under the Alpine brand.
