After a long wait for hardcore Chevy fans, the American car company has released the first official image of its upcoming performance Corvette: the Z06.

The official launch for the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is October 26, but the brand thought they'd give us all a sneaky preview of what it will look like.

So what's different about the Z06 variant?

The main difference seen in this higher-performance model is its 5.5-litre V8 that now features a flat-plane crankshaft and is said to produce over 600 hp and will rev to between 8500 and 9000 rpm. It also features minor visual changes such as a revised front bumper and fenders and a small lip spoiler.

What about the more hardcore Z07?

The even more hardcore variant of the Corvette is set to launch at the same event as the Z06, but Chevrolet has kept its cards close to its chest and hasn't shared much on the Z07.

However, it's highly likely the Z07 package adds some track-focused parts to the car, including a more aggressive aero package with an active rear spoiler. It will also come with stiffer race-tuned suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, and carbon fibre wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres.
