A unique property auction and car collection that would appeal to classic car enthusiasts has appeared online.

Canadian Mike Hall has decided to sell his 5 acre property complete with 340 classic cars, a huge collection that he has amassed over the years.

The advert describes it as: "Lifetime opportunity to own your vintage auto wrecking business. Over 340 cars, 5 acres of land and building included. Located in Tappen, ten minute drive from Salmon Arm and one hour from Kamloops. Zoned ALR but grandfathered for auto wrecking business. Value of cars range from $500 to $35,000 each. Perfect for vintage auto enthusiast who loves to work and live in beautiful area."

For $1.45 million, the successful buyer gets the property zoned for auto salvage, a renovated house, a 900-square-foot restoration shop, a 1,200-square-foot steel building and enough steel beams and rafters to build 8,000 square feet of covered space.

“It’s not just purchasing the cars, land and buildings. It is about a lifetime opportunity to spend time doing what people like: restoring vintage cars and living in one of the most beautiful parts of B.C. That value is more than the asking price.”

  • More environmental bullshit. The cars have to be moved because they're 'hurting the soil'. Give me a fucking break.

  • Just to make this clear, BC has a new regulation on scrap yards, that requires the buyer to remove any cars from natural soil. this means, that you will have to build a concrete floor with a roof and move all cars in there. The ground on which these cars are now, needs to be sanitized and freed from any residue of the cars. (Battery acids, Coolants, Fuels, Oils, Refrigerants). I would take over this property if the owner gives me 5 million C$. That will be about a fair trade.

Don' get me wrong here. I hate that new law. But this is what will come your way if you buy it.

    • I dunno... 340 classics, some of them with stupidly high values if properly restored... If the buyer also happens to own a soil sanitation company and use the lands as training ground, doesn't sound like a bad deal :)

  • Some of the best motorcycling roads in North America take you to this town, too. I live about an hour away. Gorgeous scenery, nicest people you'll ever meet, good beer, soon legal weed and we are 100 % Trump-Free ;-) What's not to love? Eh? ;-)
